Pharmacokinetics

Pharmacokinetics – pharmacogenetics

The principle of dose and effect has been known since the days of Paracelsus. Two questions will shape the use of medications in the future – how do substances change in the human metabolism, and what impact does a patient’s genetic predisposition have on how drugs take effect?

“Research is the best medicine,” as any pharmaceutical research company would tell you. Increasing awareness on the kinetics of pharmaceutical products and the genetics of patients treated using these products will progressively lead to more effective drugs with fewer side-effects in the future. This requires extensive knowledge and extreme precision in application. Our synlab network is equipped with competence centres providing this specialist analytical expertise – such as in human genetics, molecular biology and oncogenetics. Our aim is to make a significant contribution to healthcare and healthy aging.
